So a few weeks ago I was running out food and made a purchase online for frozen food. I purchased [h=1]Ocean Nutrition Formula Variety Pack - 2 lbs[/h]
I like the variety and my fish seem to like it as well. My only complaint is it sinks too fast and I have to defrost it before I dump it in the tank. NOrmally I can just throw a few frozen cubes of mysis or brine they float and dissolve and the fish feed.

today i was lazy and just threw the cubes in the tank. A little later I walked by to see a cube float along the bottom of the tank with a mandarin in hot pursuit. Next thing I know I see the mandarin taking bites out of the cube, not one or two, but I watched him take no less thank six bites before one of the tangs came and stole the cube. Crazy stuff. It was hte orange cube Special Formula VHP

That's good news Dave. Mine eats frozen mysis out of hand when I can shield my purple tang out of the way. Mandarins are really cool fish and it's nice when they'll eat something other than pods.

Very cool. I'm all about training them to PE mysis from day one. You'll never have to worry about them again once you do. You don't have a serious phosphate problem putting the cubes in frozen? I rinse well, plus I always target feed.

That's good to hear. My mandarin started off eating sustainable aquatics diet hatchery pellets and now eats any frozen food I throw in. Took about 8 months tho
