Hey everyone!
Decided I'd put up a build thread for my new tanks.
Originally I had a Mr aqua 22g but broke that down and sold most of my stock and only kept softs in my 8g cube for about 2-3 months.
I have had this shallow tank for months now and couldn't decide what to use it for until the idea of plumbing them together became a reality. I have made the decision to make my shallow a show "fuge" and pipefish tank while the 8g will be a mixed reef of mainly softs and acouple LPS with one or two sps on the back wall.
Here's a pic of the initial 8g alone before the add:

Right now there's multiple zoas, two toadstool leather (one is the original foot of the big one that has grown into its own), two sps, acouple red mangroves, red macro, plating purple sponge, acan and favia (selling), and assorted clean up crew.
So now for the new build!
I drilled a 1" hole and added a bulkhead to the side of the 8g so it's gravity fed into the 10g shallow tank and I have a supreme aqua mag 5 ext set up to draw from the 10g and feed back to the main tank in the back chamber. I added a ball valve to control flow of return.
Now for equipment:
Both tanks have mp10's to control water movement with ease
8g has AI Hydra with wireless controller
10g has a maxspect 50/50 blue white LED
I have a super reef octopus 90hob that'll be plumbed to draw from the 8g and drop in the 10g.
Also I have a reactor but haven't decided between GFO and carbon yet.
Dosing by hand Red Sea ABC+ powder

That maxspect light is great for growing macros and mangroves, its been my sump light for 3 years!

The 10g will be macros and mangrove tank made to be a lagoon and it'll have either dragon face pipefish or a frog fish I haven't decided.
I'll be upgrading the light and possibly adding zoas in the near future.
Well here's some pics of the tank as of this morning!

Thanks for stopping by!
