It does come with a siphon hose so you can hook up an aqualifter pump to it. It's better if you drill the tank and add a shadow overflow instead.

This one is better. It doesn't need an aqua lifter. After initial prime, the unit will self siphoned once your power is restored, if and when you loose power.

yeah, i didn't realize that one needed an aqua lifter to run it. I think ill go with the Eshopps PF-300 unless anyone things the sea side version is better for some reason? the internal box seems a bit bigger on the sea side and i dont know what benefit that could have.. i only say Eshopps because i found it for a few bucks cheaper and I've use the brand before.

I use to have the eshopps one i think it use to lose siphon after awhile.. im currently using the cpr overflowbox, you need a aqualifter but i havent had any problems with it, i recommend the cpr.
