Hey guys!

Planning on getting back into the game soon and want to go with LEDs. Do you think an XR 15 would be enough to light an 24x20x12 tank? I was thinking about SPS towards the middle and then LPS on the sides. Would one XR 15 give me enough coverage with the RMS mount?

Thanks for the help!

I think so. I have an XR15 over my RedSea Reefer 170 which is 24*20*20. So far I have 3 millies up top and they seem to be doing fine. LPS and flower nems elsewhere in the tank.

It should be more than sufficient to cover this aquarium size. Just make sure you purchase the “xr15 pro”, my radion is also mounted on an RMS mount. My corals are thriving like crazy! I have a 27gallon (20-inch width by 18-inch depth by 20-inch height ). My lights are not even at 55% intensity.
