I'm looking to get into the hobby, and am debating between a 60 gallon cube (24"x24"x24") or a 120 gallon (48"x24"x24"). I'm concerned about power usage--I've trying to do the power consumption calculator, but I don't know what to put in for the heater (number of hours it is on in a day). How often does your heater go on? Currently living in Tustin with SCE as my power utility (I'm currently in the 0.25/kWh tier).

Alternatively, if anyone has a good idea on how much more their utility bill went up per month, on either a 60 gallon or 120 gallon tank. Thanks!

I have a 200w heater on my 55gal. Seems to do the job quite well, but I don't see it on too often, even with all this rain.
Not sure how long it remains on, but one thing for certain - summer is coming!

I know lights are something to consider too when calculating the bill. I can't say how much my bill went up since our's already varies a lot @ the house.
