My little 40g sps tank is full again and I need to thin it out. Pickup is in Buena Park at my home. All of my SPS Coral are pest free and the mother colonies have been in my tank over two years.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the main purpose for a frag rack when adding new frags to your tank?
I know when creating a frag, they can heal in your tank, but why do people add frags on the rack for a lengthy time before adding directly on the rocks?
