Hello All,

I setup a 5.5g pico reef tank on 12/1/16 and currently I am experiencing a problem with small white hydroids that look like jellyfish. I can see them on the glass and in the water swimming if I turn the pumps off. Some of my zoas are only opening halfway and others are doing just fine. I'm wondering if this can become a serious issue in my tank quickly because of the water volume??? Does anyone have experience getting rid of hydroids?? Any help would be appreciated as I would like to get ahead of this before it gets out of control. I'm worried that they will sting my corals constantly in such a small enclosure?

Params as of 2/17/17: KH – Meq/L = 3.0 dKH = 8.4 CA = 370 PH = 8.0 Nitrate = 15 Nitrite = 0 Phosphate = 0 Mg = 1500

I had them in my pico.. it's common with newer tanks and usually will disappear in a few weeks. I helped it along by sponging them off the glass when they collected.
