Hammer tissue ripped from skeleton :(

The hammer is all closed up in the pic but one of my pumps fell off the glass and was pointed at it for an unknown amount of time. About half of the tissue is peeled off and a good amount of skeleton is visible. Will it heal over time? What should i do to it to keep it alive? I put it in a low flow area for now. Any help would be appreciated

Update: the hammer has since ripped further from the skeleton on its own. Its almost as if it is ejecting the polyp. The polyp without the skeleton is actually looking normal regardless of the fact. I will try to place the ejected head onto a rock sort of like a mushroom or other soft coral and hope it grows. I will up my calcium in hopes of it rebuilding its skeleton also
