IM 50 Lagoon Filter setup recomendation????

Need recommendation for filter set up on the IM 50 Lagoon. Tank will be 40% coral and 60% fish. Have a cady with filter floss. Should i do refugium on one side? Do i used carbon filter and/or bio filter? IM reactor - good investment?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Check out my build. Our back chambers are almost similar. On one side I'm running it as a refugium and the other I'm running filter floss with Blue Life USA Clear Fx Pro 225 ml, this supposed to be better than MarinePure elite. When you rinse this, it's almost a clean rinse.

I didn't want to use the IM ghost skimmer. People either love it or hate it lol. I was on the fence for weeks between the Aquamaxx HOB vs the eshopps. Check my build, I just added new pictures.

I’ve heard great things on the Tunze 9004. Other reefers state this fits in the 1st chamber and others find it to be a very tight fit. With the tight fit being a factor, several users complaint of the outer casing breaking. I didn’t want to use the tunze because you’ll lose one side… meaning you’re unable to run a media basket. I’m currently running one side as a refugium and the other with filter floss, media, etc. I’m currently using two media baskets
