I found a good deal on a Red Sea 170 that needs to be re-sealed. The silicone peeled off. Can these tank be re-sealed? If so, where can I take it? Should I just keep looking? I really want a rimless tank around the same size but don't want to break the bank. Thanks!

It's not going to be a good deal when you have 34 gallons water in your home.

Take it from someone who had a 180 seperate on them. This is an expensive hobby.

Either do it right or not at all.

Just my opinion

I agree with Robert. Saving money is awesome but it comes with a risk and rimless tanks need to be right. Small drip is a manageable failure that can put you in a rush for yet another tank but God forbid you fully pop the seam cuz then you just grab a mop, throw everything out & start over and that will cost you more that you saved on a questionable tank.

I agree with Chris. The cost of fish and coral and water damage is not worth what you are saving. A successful home is built on a solid foundation. No different with a tank.
