Ahh it worked. Sorry about the weird first post. I had a problem registering. I never received my email to finish registration. Well I guess that's fixed now.

Im new to the saltwater world. My new 65 gallon reef tank is 2 months old and starting to look like something. Have a few zoa frags in there, toadstool, frogspawn, a hammer and some others I dont know what they are haha. A pair of clown babies, a blue chromis, and a 6 line wrasse is all the fish so far. Theres about 15 hermits, 3 emerald crabs, and 10 snails but they arent keeping up with the hair algae. Well, it looks to be subsiding now but its definitely still there.

Anyway, nice to see my profile working and hope to spend some time here learning and sharing..

Initial algae blooms are always a little bit of work. The key to getting CUC to do their job is to keep them hungry. Cut back a little on feedings, and there will be less for food the algae, as well as hungrier scavengers, munching on algae.
