Hey guys, anyone know the shelf life for ALK reagent on a Hanna meter? I got a bad reading on an opened, older bottle(said 8, was 6.7DKH). I'm sure they older the opened bottle gets, the worse the reading but, I would like to know when not to trust it.

Don't all the bottles have expiration dates on them?

Should be ok if you didn't let it evaporate out or lay it on it's side. I heard there was issue with a batch of lids that fouled the regent

It's not suppose to lay on it side? That's how it fits in the container.
That's how it fits when new sealed now popped open once it lays on it side a possible chemical reaction to the foam lid might reacting to the reagent. I usually take my bottle of reagent once open and just keep it up right

I believe they do. I was looking for a "good for once opened" time line.
You may want to ask about a new reagent... there was a problem with the foil under the cap contaminating the reagent when the bottle sat on its side against the foil. HTH **Nvm I am late to the party. Good luck.
