I have a question for you guys. My fish went crazy for these guys the first two days after that they don't like it only eat the stomach part then let the head and tail floating. Seems like a waste. Anybody had this experience? I really want to feed them mysis but they seem so picky. At first I thought it was because the mysis was so huge but the first couple of days they were eating the pieces whole.

I've never had luck with PE mysis. My fish always went crazy for the other common brand, San Francisco Bay. They are a little smaller too.

Yes same issue but depends on the fish. My maroons devour it whole, tang and cardinal spit out some. My cleaner shrimp is fat and happy. I alternate foods and only feed 4-5 times a week so not a huge issue in either tank.

Yeah guess I'm going to have to wait for my fish to get bigger to feed PE

Im with Matt... the hikari cobalt or sfbb mysis seems to be better... smaller. Pe mysis are huge.
Which one do you prefer?

They are all comparable imo hikari seems to be the best price.

I swear by PE. I've fed it for years. All my Mandarins train to it, and all my fish devour it. Some will only eat PE. Hikari is cool too. But the PE keeps my Mandarins fat, so that's what I stick with.

Try arctipods from Reef Nutrition.
I will I think they will be in RAP so I'll check them out. Won't they eventually die in the tanks?

Do they eat everything? My fish only eat the gut part. The rest stays floating

In the bottle?

I had my doubts, but maybe i will try them.

Re: pe mysis.

I feed one cube from each of the combo packs.

I also blend about 2 cubes each into 1 pound of my home made fish food slurry.

Never had any problems with it, other than the guys who wont eat it, just wont eat it. But i beliece that is only my yellow tang.

Try defrosting it in top off water and feeding it that way.

Yes, they eat everything. Sometimes there are severed heads straight out of the package they don't touch. But they don't spit the heads out from whole pieces.

Yeah I talked to the rep today at RAP also hikari rep and they both told me Fish sometimes just eat the guts because of the bacteria and algal in the bellies. Picky fish
