I started to fill up a titan bin to start cycling/curing some live rock but all the 1.5" bulkheads started leaking. It looked like they had been siliconed in the past, I didnt feel like buying new bulkheads or gaskets so I clean it up and re-silicone the bulkheads inside and out. They were all slow leaks. I used DAP that was labeled aquarium safe on the tube. Directions state 24 hour cure time. Its been 24 hours but I still slightly smell the silicone if I lean in the bin. Basically, its going to take a few days to fill up so I'd like to get going, will it be safe with no critters? If it is not completely cured, will it continue to cure while under water? I understand the danger of it not being cured is gases that release, will these dissipate with water circulation or will that water always be tainted?

24hr should be good. But if you're not in a hurry, let it marinate another day
