Having a little trouble with inconsistency with this kit.

The main problem I am having is with the small syringes.

Do you suck the reagent into the syringe with the plastic tip? or without?

If using without, when adding the plastic tip, your initial press of the syringe will fill the plastic tip with the reagent. Thus giving you a false or inaccurate reading.

If using the plastic tip when filling the syringe. I get a 0.2ml air gap. Instructions state that their should be a 0.1ml to 0.15ml of air gap.

I can get the air gap to 0.15ml if I pump the syringe up and down while in the reagent. Thus filling the tip with reagent instead of air. I am also unsure if this gives me an inaccurate reading because there is more reagent in the syringe now.

I hope I was clear enough on the issue that I am having.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Ok, I think I figured it out.

For anyone else who might come to this same problem.
I figured that no matter how big the air gap is, if you suck 1ml into the syringe, it should be 1ml. (cap size might have varied when Red sea first made the instructions?)
