Blue hippo tang shortage ?

Have been looking for a small blue hippo tang and they seemed to have disappeared. Was at 3 lfs today and they had none, all of the only suppliers say out of stock and even the captive raised one's are not available. Any thoughts?

There is a push to not sell these fish, imho, because they are hard to keep and retailers don't want to duplicate the Finding Nemo effect with Finding Dory. Take a look at Petco's statement about Blue Tangs: https://www.petco.com/content/petco...center/new-pet/finding-dory-in-your-home.html.

Most folks aren't getting the little ones because of protests surrounding their collection and distribution

It is easier to sell larger young ones, so that is all you will find these days.
