ok well before now i had my tank set up fowlr and didnt test much id like to know the proper way to test for a reef tank and wut to test for and wut ranges they should be in im going to set up a reef but im taking my time nice and slow to get it right thanks guys

a good reliable test kit is a good investment specialy when your switching.

One thing get a refractometer if you don't already have one. The hydrometer does not give a very accurate reading for salitity and with a reef you are going to need that.
