Just wondering, i have a 90gl Cube with 2 MP40qds and Vectra M1 return pump, my vectra is like at 70% and my MP40qds are running reefcrest ramp up from 30% to 50% and back down for the night on Antisync mode. Im wondering if thats to much flow for my 90 cube Going to be a mixed reef.

I believe it will be a lot of flow for a mixed tank. I have it on my 300 aiming towards the front glass. The distance is 36 inches and I have to turn it down because it pushes the substrate around.

I would just run the return lower and bump up the mp40s if you need more flow. Much cheaper, and easier to tune. will also give your water more contact time with the filtration stuff in the sump

So you think i should turn down the Return to maybe 50% The thing is my Return line is half inch not 3/4 so i know im loosing some flow right there. i had to use a reducer on the pump. Tham bulkhead is only 1/2 so couldnt do 3/4.

I've got my m1 on the 3rd dot on my 66g but it's also feeding my ats, media reactor and uv. If you have the standard locking returns with the flat nozzle tip id just pop the tip off. That will increase your flow by a lot and relieve back pressure. I found the m1 doesn't handle back pressure very well and self shuts down so be careful trying to crank it up on a 1/2 return.

I run 2 mp40qd and a gyre xf150 on my 66g sca that's cubish. That's for sps though. I think your setup will be perfect for mixed reef.

Just turn them down... theyll give you a wider flow pattern and should have less wear and tear running at lower speeds.
