My wife and I are thinking of hosting a backyard frag swap at our home in corona. The idea is to have a no cost party to trade/sell frags and BS about our tanks. I know it wil be a bunch of work and my yard will get trashed but it seems like a bunch of fun. Ill probably kick down a few bucks so I can make burgers or dogs for everyone.

Ideas? Thoughts?

That would be fun, I remember the original reefapalooza was in a backyard way back in the day. We used to also have a lot of fun at gho swaps out here in Anaheim Hills

Typically this type of swap doesn't have any brand name vendors it is more hobbyist based where we all bring that extra piece that broke off last time we cleaned and hang out

But yeah I don't think it would be unreasonable to ask for a couple bucks towards the Beverages and food or for them to bring something for the potluck. I used to walk away from these things with $2,000 in cash all day long

Very generous of you, I would be very interested in attending and helping out in any way I can.

Do you have a grill / barbecue at your place mark?

Last time we did Korean BBQ and to kind of a potluck meat Grill. One of my favorite memories was Greg Carroll stuffing his face while he explained to me that Anthony yang told him he can have some of the frags I was selling for Anthony LOL first impressions :)

I have a grill connected to my natural gas.

I am conserned about heat of the summer.

Problem is that it may be hot into October.

Yeah early in June would be ideal, I got some misters for my backyard at Home Depot 24 bucks for a 20-foot string you might come in handy at your place :)

We are considering saturday June 9 in the afternoon. My youngest is having his birthday party tentatively that morning which would potentially leave us with tables and bouncy house/water slide for use by kids or drunk adults at the frag swap.
