Flooding of back side of an AIO

I'm assuming if the power goes out and a siphon occurs the water will flow back and level off at the level on the display side correct? So even if the returns are too low and the water level of display side never breaks below them the water should equal out? I can see that if the display side was somehow higher then there may be enough pressure to keep the siphon going but once it reaches the overflow cutouts it'll just overflow back to the display side. Sorry I may be overthinking this whole thing.

Eh. Most AIO are basically a partition built inside of a level tank. So, water is going to level out regardless


Whether the media chamber outlet is at the bottom of the tank or the top, it is only going to allow itself to level.

Siphon occurs because of gravity first, and relative pressure, second.
