I have been trying to get my pH to settle down to make sure when I add corals, the pH, along with other parameters are steady. My ph from daytime to night time changes from 8.08 to 7.98. Total of 0.1 of a change. Is that good? I have been battling hair algae and have pretty much taken care of it. Water changes and CO2 scrubber on intake of my protein skimmer has helped. Any other ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I wouldn't chase such a small differentiation like that. You're fine. That's a steady figure as there will be a small fluctuation throughout the day.

PH is fine - it can swing 7.8 to 8.2 and still be fine

If you start with Dry Rock algae blooms are the norm and are part of a normal cycle until your tank becomes more established and mature. A good clean up crew will help. Your PH is fine.
