I did not realize that people have a schedule for powerheads. What are you trying to simulate? Are waves generally calmer in the ocean during night time?

I keep my sump light on at all times or sometimes off only when my 175W MH is on in the main tank. PH steady as a rock.

My 6x39 t-5's come on 2 at 8:30 2 at 8:45 and 2 at 9 and go off at 4:30, 4:45, and 5. My powerheads 2x koralia 4 and 2x tunze 6045 are on constantly. 70 gallon tank. My fish have a couple of caves towards the bottom with lower flow.
