I can finally say im more than satisfied with my fishes. Time to move onto corals

Finished my light rack. It isnt the prettiest. Put maybe 6hrs total into it but at least I have T5s while I plan on a way to pretty this up and hang the fixture.

Lighting is now 4 T5s, amd 4 Mazarra LEDs. I plan on using the LED on dawk to dusk, with T5s on for 5 hrs during the day.

What bulb configuration should I run?

Nice dude. Ur corals will LOVE the hybrid lighting. I saw improvements from all corals, softies to acros.

How do u like the lighting? What bulbs are u running?

1 actinic and 3 blues I believe. Got the whole setup used so I honestly don't know which bulbs to run.

I only finished it today and im at work, so I shut it off before I left

It's been 2 days since I've added the T5s; I'm not sure if it's just me being optimistic, or if there's truly a difference, but it seems like the few coral frags I have are showing a significant difference. It seems as if the color is deepening more; furthermore, the BTA I had that was hanging under the shade; it has since moved to the top of a shelf.


Maybe I can start dabbling in some easy SPS....



Also, I upgraded my skimmer pump from a PSK2500 to a PSK1000. I think it's pulling a ton more crap. Heres what it pulled in the time since I cleaned it yesterday at 12p

Added a few new items; pics to follow.

3 female flames (now I have 1 super male and 3 females)
1 potters wrasses
a couple rainbow BTAs
some blasts and mushrooms
2 different gonipora frags
2 different rics

Then I glued down all the frags.
