didn't know where to post this but does anyone have any recommendations on shipping an ATI light fixture that weighs about 45 lbs? I've been quoted around 50-75 but was wondering how I should pack it and how I can spend the least money on material? Should I let one of the shipping companies pack it?

Wrap it in bubble wrap at least 5" thick on all sides. Your goal should be if someone threw it over a fence onto concrete that it wouldn't break.

Contact Clearchoice Distribution (aka reefgeek) and see if they have any ATI boxes.

I know you want to sell your light but I would highly advise against doing this. I've read to many horror stories on large fragile items.

Hope your selling it to someone you know, bc your light could arrive damaged/broken even when its not and they want their money back…good luck

I have shipped both dim and non-dim 6x54 T5 Sunpower to the east coast in the original package before. I packed them with peanut foams and bubble wrap for extra protection. I would also ensured this fixture when you ship just for a piece of mind. As it is might be susceptible to have box to toss around and cause damage, especially during the busy shipping season of the year.

Best way is place it in it's box. Then wrap that box in bubble wrap all the way around. Then wrap the bubble wrap with a layer of cardboard. Like a burrito
