Heater....have you used it yet?

I have heard that some people don't even use the heater during this hot summer season. However, I have been noticing that it is getting a little cooler now. For those who have turned off the heater during the summer months, have your turned it back on?

my heater is never removed, or turned off, a properly functioning heater should only heat when the water is below its set temp, and be off the rest of the time.

i put mine back in, and it will probably stay there like Jon said. We had a cool weekend the week before the heat wave that sent my tank down to 72 degrees. (my sump is outside)...

So, no more. I have th heaters set to about 2+ degrees above the Aquacontroller is programmed for, so in the event the AC III dont work, the heaters will shut down on thier own, (I have three heaters, cuase that is what I have laying around the house to get up to 500 watts), (Each is set manually to a slightly different temp to come on or off as needed

Yep, I finally had to buy a heater since the evenings here are getting down to the 50's.

My heater is always plugged in. It is set to come on at 77F.
