That'll look clean. Are you setting up to push or pull water through the reactor?

My reefing advisor recommends to PULL. If you push through the reactor and the effluent get's clogged, you could build up pressure and something could burst.

Thanks guys. Good to know. I never really thought about that but it makes sense.

I had no idea they did that. He isn't that large, I'll have to keep an eye out. So far seems like a great fish. Won't eat flake or pellets at all though.

Vivid's Fuzzy Navel. This one arrived yesterday. Fedex took their sweet time so I think it lost a little color, hopefully I can pull out close to how it was pictured.
Generally, I expect any new frag to take at least a month to color up. any less than that the that I consider a bonus.

Aside from being able to maintain nitrate and phosphate the tank has be rock solid for the last few weeks. Things are starting to regain some color and starting to grow fairly quickly.

Vivid's Rainbow Delight growing at a quick pace:

PC Rainbow is really looking great. Maricultured tenuis in back is starting to recover and show some polyps.

Every time I feed this piece slimes up on me. First sign of polyps in a long while and showing hints of colors other than green.

Nice solid color on this piece. Superglued the vermetid snail in the top right tip. Was webbing all over the VRD.

Tenuis trying to regain its pink. Might be hitting it with too much par. I'll give it a few more weeks then move it down.

This round of QT went a little better. 3 of the 4 fish who entered made it out. I lost only a cleaner wrasse which can be difficult to QT. It was eating very well which was a bummer. I think along with copper I'll be running furan2/metroplex from now on. I think I've been losing fish to bacterial issues during copper treatment. This round I also ran general cure x2 during the copper treatment. That brought my treatment length down to 14 days, which isn't so bad.

I also scored a nice smooth skin deep water acropora. Not sure on the type but this thing is nice during the day. I like the growth structure and polyps are out full force. Its hard to capture but its got some nice yellow coralites and looks like a teal base color.

Second acropora looked yellow with blueish tips. Once I got it home and saw all the polyps swaying I realize its probably a shortcake type acropora. Although its growth structure looks a little different to me, it has those long string like polyps that short cakes seem to have.
