Hey guys. I am pretty new to saltwater been keeping freshwater for 10 years and was always scared to dive into saltwater. Finally made the switch about a year ago and ive learned alot about the hobby and the life within them. Fish have always been a passion but reefing has taken it to a whole other level. I love doing this like you all here of course! Im running a 50 gallon reef tank. Pretty simple just a sump, a cheap skimmer (will eventually upgrade), some chateo. Of course im using rodi for water changes and red sea coral pro salt. My parameters are pretty stable besides phosphates having a harder time keeping them low but its getting better with more water changes and less reef roids, i think i was over feeding coral. So far everything looks great and seems to be doing really good. As simple as my setup is ive just learned stability is key. I do not dose, i have a LPS dominant tank and params stay within range. Clean up crew consists of snails, hermit crabs, TONS of amohipids, and a tiger abalone. I have a few fish, tomini tang, foxface, 3 clownfish, bi color blenny, scooter blenny, mandarin (eats frozen), a couple blue damsels. No agressikn issues this far between my fish Anyway heres my tank and some of its occupants! Of course constructive criticism is very much welcome as i am still learning. Thanks for reading!
