My Tank Build

Tank has been ordered:

Crystal Dynamics
60x30x24 (185 Gal)
Eurobraced design
PENINSULA layout
1/2" glass thickness
Bottom perimeter brace
Reinforced vertical seams
Overlapping double top eurobrace
3 sided Starphire glass

Modular Marine external overflow 20" (three 1.5" drains)
(2) 3/4" returns drilled around the overflow

Steel stand:
60x30x36
Frame with full cabinet-style peninsula wood wrap electrical cabinet

Lighting likely to be Radion G5’s but looking at Mitras as well.

Brain: torn between Apex and GHL

Tank will be located in my home office.

Will start a build thread with tons of pics once I get some.

Sounds like a nice build, can’t wait to see it come to life. Welcome back, I know it’s been a While since I’ve seen you post anything.

So where’s everyone getting their plumbing nowadays? I want some schedule 40 and of course I’m running beam animal overflow/drainage on this one.

Doing well. Tank is coming along. Just busy with two little ones. Phew.

BRS has most what you’ll need, including colored PVC sticks.

I’ve also ordered from-

They’ve got clear PVC now? Man have I been out things for that long? I know it’s not practical given the possibility of algal growth but that’s what caught my eye when I checked the link

Tanks future location.

And the sliding doors I’ll have to remove to get the stand inside. This is an older home so the doors are not the standard 36 inches.

Definitely don’t use the clear on your plumbing unless it’s the emergency. Will for sure like like shiet in a few months with algae and stuff growing on the inside.

Perfect location. Are you going to have a 15amp dedicated circuit?
