Hey SoCal Reefers!
My name is Dan and I've been reefing for about 5 years now. I wish I've picked up this hobby sooner. It's been such a great journey.
I'm originally from Indonesia. I spent 3 years of my childhood in a small island next to Bali. It was some of the most magical and memorable experiences in my early life. The reef was basically in my backyard. Free diving with a bunch of other kids was like an every day activity. This hobby truly reminds me everyday of the good old days.
Anyway, I completely built this coral/fish room almost exactly 1 year ago. I was running 3 separate tanks prior to this. I had 180 gal DT, 40 gal FT, 90 gal softies tank, and a 20 gal FT. It was a lot of work.
After lots of begging from my wife and lots of "accidental" spillage during WCs, she finally succumbed
this room was her personal storage (what a waste). I rented her a 4x8 storage and be done with it.
Thanks to "working" from home order due to Covid, I was able to move and finish everything within a month or so.
