Mark, given that they are DC and use up very little electricity, I'd imagine that it wouldn't add TOO much heat. Keep in mind that it doesn't push head nearly as well as those bigger, external pumps such as the dart or snapper. Great price for that pump though.
Sweet!!!! good lookin out juan im waiting to hear back from a couple peeps everyone i know wants the dc9000 ill update later this evening can these pumps be throttled back incase there too much flow?

Be advised that they do not put out the flow as advertised. At least that is my experience with the 6000. It's nice and compact tho and very quiet so I'm still happy with mine .

Bean is your pump a Gen2? Also it would be nice if we could find out for sure if these are Gen2 pumps as the Gen1's sucked. One thing I noticed with fish street pumps is no cooling fins just like Gen1 pumps and also the micro chip was moved from the pump to the controller with Gen2 pumps but fish street doesn't use the same controller. Fish Street says they are Gen2 pumps but wouldn't answer to above questions when asked thru email.
