I picked up this frag tank on Friday and just started cycling it.

Also picked up these LEDs and they appear to be legit so far.

I decided to try out those all in one bio pellets from marine depot for this set up

And I'm using the CPR mini reactor for them

Finally, the skimmer. I wanted to use my Tunze comline skimmer but the tank is only a little over 9 inches tall. I thought about the Aqua C as well but I decided to give the Acua Euro nano

I guess this build will be a product review as well.

Upon set up here are my levels

Ca: 453ppm
Alk: 7
Mg: 1455
No3: 5ppm
Po4: .84!!!

Phosphates are really high for some reason.

Well... Here we go.

Cool, how is your mini reactor working out? How big is the footprint of that? Like 3"x3" looking down?
It's hard to say because it's only been running for a week. I do like how the pellets churn in it though. The footprint is 2.5x3.5.

Just tested Po4 and No3.

Po4: 0
No3: 25ppm

I did swap water from my 180 so that might explain the rise in No3. I also took the ceramic media from my 28g and threw it in. As far as phosphates go, these NP pellets are awesome. Let's see what they can do for nitrates.

I'm only using 75ml of pellets for this.

I had that skimmer for awhile. You wont get realy thick skimmate. You'll pull a kinda tea looking color out of it. Some protein will build up around the rim of the cup, but after you clean it off, it would go back to being a pretty light skim compared to what you get from other protein skimmers.
