This is a total scam. I handle this whole shipment myself. Order was placed and shipped in march. All four boxes was shown passed through customs and delivered. He says they were delivered in May. I get an email about a week ago. I did not hear from the customer since items were shipped and received. We are now in august. First he said one was broken and one is missing along with 10+ other products and wants me to resend them asap without any proof or pictures or an email right after he received them until a few months after. After I told him I have a hard time believing all this, he told me he fixed the broken light and he wants me to resend him another brand new radion. I was nice and kind enough to offer him to replace the 10+ other items he claimed to not receive and are missing but there is no way I could replace a $700 light. After three months of no communication.

We try to be as fair as we can. I think two to three weeks is a fair enough time to let me know if something is missing from the order. Maybe even. Month would be okay since you're in Brazil but come on it has been almost 3 months.

+1.. thats way to long of a time period to make a claim.

not picking sides here, but either side should produce documents if they have it just to help clear things up.

3 months IS an (unacceptable) long time to wait to want to file claim against an order.

Depends on the context. My tank was not ready. They delayed almost 2 months just to post my orders after I paid. The mail service can delay one or two months to deliver an item. When I was trying to make them sending me the items I sent many e-mails and the response was very slow. So I decided to be patient until my tank arrives due to all those facts.

I'm sending them the following:

a) E-mails proving my tank builder delayed 5 months to deliver my tank and it proving it arrived the same time I checked the missing items
b) E-mails proving I waited 2 months for them to post the items by mail
c) Pictures of what I received
d) Conversation between me and my tank builder asking for pump prices commenting about the USA store did not delivered many items (this was after some days I realized there were no more packages).

I'm not a liar. It is ridiculous for me to show here what I'm saying is true.

I'm in touch with Socal Troipical Fish to solve this issue. I'm sending them all documentation proving I'm not lying. I do not believe they fooled me I think it was a mistake.

i've never had anything large shipped internationally before, so i don't know how that works.

I did have an expensive tripod shipped from china many years ago, and to save cost, they shipped it via boat, and it took almost 2 months for it to arrive (they had to wait for a container with room for small items to divide up the cost).

i'm not calling you a liar, and like i stated, i'm not picking sides YET, mostly because neither side have shown any proof of what they're claiming.

the bottom line is, this is a forum, and the only recourse buyers and sellers have, is their reputation, because the forum doesn't control funds, we're not the broker.

given that you're new to the forum, we really don't know you, so if you want us to believe your side of the story, we, as a community, really want to see backup proof, rather than just words.

it may seem like we're giving you a harder time, or treating you unfairly, but that's definitely NOT because we protect our sellers here. In fact, if a local seller scams anyone, we would be the ones picking up the pitchfork against them (not sure if that term translates, but we would fight for the buyer).

ultimately, if you want us to fight for you, you're going to have to provide more than a story. we're gonna want to see pictures and some sort of proof.

I'm feeling bad because I need to prove everything I say. I sent them the email below. The skimmer picture is missing because I got a message that I can upload only 5 pictures per post.

Hi,

You delayed almost two months top lace my orders. Mail to Brazil can delay months. My tank was not ready. Ive decided to be patient and wait my tank arrives and the other package I was waiting for. So I couldnt be as fast as you suppose. Try to understand my point of view.

Im sending to you some e-mails and picture proving Im not a liar.

Attached you find some conversation between me and the tank builder.
In one conversation you see Im asking for another water pump wince the store in USA did not delivered it to me. This proves I was upset about items not arriving.
The other one Im complaining about my tank not arriving in 5 (five) months since I paid and it arrived at the same time I checked the missing items. This proves my tank delayed also so I decided to be patient with you.

There are a picture of the fuse I replaced to make one Radion works. This proves I was not lying since the beginning.
There are other pictures about the two radions (now both works it is missing one), three ballast and the skimmer and the WMX module I received.

I need the Radion without the ballast. What is the lower price you can do this item to solve this issue? I want to solve this and go on with my tank.

Im not a liar.

Didnt know they built tanks? Are you talking about two different sellers?
This is the local seller in Rio de Janeiro I was talking in portuguese. I trasnlated the conversation. Just to prove I'm not lying and I mentioned the pump I didn't receive. The Radion here in Brasil is R$ 3,200.00 (US$ 1,391.00) that's why I prefer to pay something and get my Radion.

too much of "he said, she said" and too many variables involved...so for that reason, i'm out.
