Hey Jami, I agree with Karl and Allen....twin spot...one of the best fish I ever had. Didnt dig up a mess, never bothered any fish ir coral..just did its chill thing cruising the tank and keeping my sand clean. I used to bury mysis and brine in the sand as little buried snack treasures and eventually got it eating out.of the water column. I miss this little guy..

he's so cute!! I'm in.. now to find one established :) I have a breeding pair of Mandarins ( who eat mysis like pigs and spawn like once a week!) and a pair of fire fish in the SH tank too... think he would get territorial w the other gobies? wouldn't wanna screw up my tank mojo ;)
Thanks!

Are these the ones that are super hard to keep? Or is that tiger goby?

They are like mandarins will eat pods that's why they aren't good for DSB.

Cool.. No DSB in SH tank.. And since the Mandy love mysis.. No other pod eaters and overrun w pods.. :) so they won't take mysis then? Or is it just training?

From what i have noticed in keeping the few that i have over the years, is that they do very well in smaller tanks with passive tank mates and they "disappear" in larger tanks with more aggressive tank mates. Years back, i had another one (not the one in the picture) that did great for about a year in a 34g with peaceful wrasses and then i broke down that tank and moved the goby to a 225g with tangs and after a couple of days in there, never saw it again : (

Maybe a tiger cucumber since the tank has low flow? They eat the dirty sand and poop out clean sand.
