Just brought home my beautiful Inferno from Nick.. But it figures.. My dt doser screws up and my DT is up to 11.31 dKh..
Now the seahorse tank is only at 7.84..
The Nem came out of 9.01dKh at Nick's..

So is it worse to put him into the lower alk tank
( 9.01 dropping it to 7.84)

Or the DT
(9.01 raising it to 11.31)
Not sure which way is worse for it..
I can buffer SH up to prob 8.5 Id guess before I hafta acclimate him , but it's still a bit of a drop for it.

First Inferno, so any advice is helpful here :)
Thanks guys! ( btw, wc won't help because my RC is mixing at 10.35 ish dkh ! :/ )

Thanks..Will it be a shock for it though.. Comin from a tank w 9.01? It'll be a big jump for it either way ( uo or down depending on tank I put it in) just not sure which way is worse , raising or lowering..

I would think that if you slowly drip acclimate it, it would be alright. BUT IM NOT AN EXPERT! And ill be pissed if you kill the nem i was supposed to have ;)

Maybe the stress will cause it to split and you'll end up with 2. :)
But I say go the lower route but if it's your poni tank, will the ponies get stung thinking it's something they can latch on too?

I was thinking I'd float it in a strainer to avoid the stings.. Good lookin out though, :)

I don't see why a slow drip wouldn't work in either cases. I keep mine at 8 and have purchased from tanks at 13.

no sorry, but picture what it would look like if a yellow belly regal angel mated with a rose nem....that's exactly what it looked like...it was true red sea also.
