Thinking about getting back into the hobby but a lot has changed with the technology of LEDS since i took my hiatus. I was told that AI hydra 26 or 52 are top of the line lights for reef depending on the size of the tank. Are there better lighting systems out there? Who are the big competitors?
Yeah very subjective. Some love MH, others led and some t5. I'm currently running AI sols and really like them. In my opinion a nice combo is the way to go. If I had a canopy I'd run my AI's with a couple t5
I think a lot of it depends on what you are trying to grow in your reef tank....
I run a Pacific Sun fixture...Led / T5 combo... Very happy with it.....

I cant get a front view pic yet to much glare. Will try later.
Its the stock ai hanging rails with 3 sol blues mounted sideways and 4 48" t5 retros. I took some aluminum strap and angle and drilled rm and mounted them to the rail with 1/4" carrage bolts. Was actually really easy.
