I got the Max. Yeah, flipping it makes me a little nervous too. Does it have velcro on the other side? The picture I saw wasn't very clear.

Ya.. The cleaning side is like soft Velcro.. Hard plastic w spacer buttons to keep it off glass to allow scrapings to not get scrubbed into the glass .

I gave the flipper (medium) another shot finally... it works on my 1/2" glass for the light coraline but not on the thick stuff. I guess I need the MAX for my 1/2" glass. The medium does say works up to 1/2" glass though. After I get the Gyre XF130 it will be my next purchase.
happyflipping - a while back you sent me another to try and I really appreciate the great customer service btw.

So I have 2 x medium flippers if anyone wants to try one out. Send me a pm if anyone is interested. Would probably work great for a 3/8" glass tank. Or acrylic as well I have the blades to switch out.

Dan xmasone is going to try it out. I'm going to keep the other I have as it does work for my light coraline so I'll still use it until I can get a larger one.

Jhuneke!!! I just got my flipper! All I gotta say is WOW! It's so much fun pulling coralline off my glass! I like this better than my Hammerhead magnet cleaner. The Velcro material (almost felt like) on the flipper is much smoother and doesn't leave small gaps like my Hammerhead.

I think it's more of a felt on cleaner , much more thorough than the mags :) enjoy!

I got my flipper for free at the MD booth at a show probably more than a year ago. Makes cleaning the glass easy and it lasts ( I don't leave it in the water) .

That's true! I thought same thing... I'm paranoid about having it drop on my coral and clams etc.. This thing could do some damage w the blade on it ..

I'm going to buy a MAX just nervous using it on my 1/2" glass... but just to be sure your using it on your 3/8" glass? Does it seem super strong? I don't want to crack my tank that would not be good.

Yes the medium and small floats.. But not the max.
@cody.. I use it in my 3/8" amd while yes, it is strong, it's not overly difficult to glide around. Now that being said.. I have been careful to not let the mags seperate and then 'slap' back together. In other words, I hold the mag in position inside the tank glass and carefully let it attract the outer portion.. Although it has gotten away from me a few times and I have had it snap back without damage. But who wants to risk it really? :)

Don't worry Cody. My glass is 1/2" and it works great.

BeanMachine you have no idea the level of satisfaction I got scrapping all that coral line and annoying tiny snails on my back wall. I love that crunching sound! It felt GOOD! Haha And my tank looks so much better!

I'm going to have the same problem... as well as the side where I have a small tank really close to my main tank. Can I hold the magnet inside the water?

I used the medium on the side this evening... chip chip chip chip chip so **** annoying hehe my tank was pink for a while. I got half the side done and quit. I dosed some calcium in the process. ;)
