Do you have to update firmware to use this, just updated a month ago when I added dose?

For me the hard part was updating firmware, you need to put your computer in safe mode with networking to avoid any problems. Once you have updated to fusion you will find it very easy to program. If you need some help then you can add permission for a friend to see your fusion and he could program for you and give you tips from any computer hooked to the net.

I have now updated 4 units for friends to fusion and they all were easy once I put my computer in safe mode with networking. One thing that slowed me down was you need to manually turn on permission for fusion to make changes on your apex display, this had me scratching my head at first. That is why I mention it here.

Let me know if you need any help, for a few nice SPS frags I could update firmware.

Nice. Now if they can include a function to catalog livestock and document growth with photos and include a few calculators such as salinity adjustment or 2 part adjustments I could ditch my other reef app.

Cool, I see the Parameter Logging on my fusion after unlocking it in the dashboard.
I had been logging my test in the notes area, this looks much easier and better. Thanks for letting us know. [MENTION=5734]SandStorm[/MENTION] what other reef logging system do you use?

Ok the Salifert CA works good but the Salifert KH does not.
Salifert KH
1) They have the low and high resolution reverse of what it should be.
2) The reading is still incorrect if you reverse the low & high...at 0.43 it shows 9.12 but it's actually 8.8 on Salifert directions.
3) After you logged the results, it you go back in it just says the read out, it does not show your original inputs of the test kit used and reading.

Does anyone have a way to tell Neptune of the mistake they have?

The problem with salifert kh is that test kit conversion chart changes from year to year. I lost my directions and tried using another one but I noticed it gave me different conversions than my old instructions.

Serious.... I just can't seem to get 4-6 hours of free time to be able to set all the times and wire the vdm and all that shiz. Even got a second eb8 for christmas 14 and ordered breakout Box..... it's all ready to go. Just no time.

I'm with you. I bought an apex gold for my birthday, may 2013. I bought a wireless router which I spent 4 hours trying to hook up. So the way it sits now is in a clump of wire in my stand with the temp, oh, and orp working. I never even set up my heater. Lol.

Maybe don't try to tackle it all in one day. Your tank is already running without it so you could setup the apex one day. Setup the first 4 outlets the next chance you get. Then another 4 outlets. Then 1 module. Then another.

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
