Nice tank. Is that an SCA 66? If yes, did you use the stock overflow or run a Herbie?

Still have a lot of work to do as most of this is temporary but I'll be making upgrades as I go along! Need to swap some equipment as well

I have that same tank/sump. Scratching my head on what to do with the sump, the baffles make zero sense to me, maybe yank them out and start over, or 20l? Any ideas?

Y do u want to yank them out? I'm gonna use it as a refugium, the liverock is temporary. Gonna add sand & put a pair clowns down there eventually. Grow a bit of chaeto for pods

Are you putting your skimmer in the left side, ATO and return in the right?
That's what I did with my sump, exact same setup as you described but used the middle for chaeto, I have filter sock/heater/skimmer in first chamber, Chaeto and a few rocks in the middle chamber, and return pump and media in the last chamber, with a power head to keep things from settling in every chamber.

Yes, I just need to get a smaller skimmer. The reef octopus I have is too tall. Lol
Scout- I was thinking about that, how to keep good consistent water flow with the baffles in this dump set up, is that power head sufficient?

I have a power head in the first chamber under the filter sock blowing towards the skimmer. And in the second chamber I have a little bit larger power head suction cupped to the back wall blowing at an angle to tumble my chaeto. In the last chamber I have another smaller powerhead pushing water through my media bag then right under the return pump, so nothing gets settled. If you keep everything suspended it will help detritus build up.
