We finally received our shipment of Red Sea Reefer aquariums. We've been waiting for these since January. I didn't keep track of everybody that wanted one so please contact me again if you're interested.

Red Sea REEFER™ Systems
Rimless Reef Ready Systems for advanced hobbyists

REEFER™ Concept
Red Sea’s REEFER™ series of Reef Systems, provide advanced hobbyists with a solid foundation for building a fully featured reef or marine aquarium.

The REEFER™ series combines a contemporary, rimless, ultra-clear glass aquarium with a stylish cabinet and a comprehensive water management system, including a professional sump with integrated automatic top-up, and Red Sea’s unique silent down-flow system.

Incorporating technologies originally developed for Red Sea’s all-in-one MAX coral reef systems, the REEFER™ series is designed for ease of operation while enabling the advanced hobbyist to install an unlimited choice of lighting, filtration, circulation and controllers to create a uniquely customized system.

Features of the Red Sea REEFER™ include:
•Rimless, ultra-clear, beveled edge glass aquarium
•Elegant marine-spec cabinet
•Professional sump with constant height skimmer chamber and micron filter bags
•Silent, regulated down-flow system with emergency overflow
•Integrated automatic top-up system with reservoir
•Assembly-ready piping – no gluing required

The aquarium sits on a recessed base that “floats” it above the cabinet, which seamlessly follows the contour of the glass.

All Reefer aquariums come with a TRUE sump with integrated filter sock and ATO reservoir.

They come with:
Tank
Stand
Sump
Plumbing

You need to get your return pump, skimmer and lighting separately.

They only come in this kit, as of now you can't get the items separately.

Oh sure, I remember that LED. These were supposed to originally come to the United States but that never materialized. It's been over a year since these were announced and I have not heard a single thing about them since. When the C-Series was originally released these were supposed to be just a few months behind but it never happened. There have also been promises of LED upgrades for the S-series tanks that I have not heard about for a while too. Red Sea has been talking about an LED fixture for at least the last 3 years but I'm not sure when we will actually see one for sale. Also, there are Red Sea products that are available over seas but not to us, the E-Series might be one of these. Next time I see our Red Sea rep I'll be sure to ask him about this.

As far as the Reefer series, it's clear that Red Sea is encouraging it's customers to go with a different brand light (and pump) since they don't offer any to go along with this system. Maybe this is a sign that their own LED is still a ways off?

Thank you much for the info. It sure looks like an awesome and nice design led fixture!

$ 849 - Reefer Nano (white) - 28 gallon - 18x18x18
$ 949 - Reefer 170 (black) - 43 gallon - 24x20x20
$ 1299 - Reefer 250 (black) - 65 gallon - 35x20x21

I have the Redsea MAX S-650 (largest they make) as our personal reef system in our living room. If the Reefer series is even half as good as the S-series it will be worth every penny.

How has the demo tank held up? Id like to get the 450 but really havent found any long term reviews. Thanks
Sorry I missed your post.

Our Reefer tank is doing great. These are definitely very well made aquariums and the stands are much nicer than what other manufacturers offer.
