Whats Up Cali reefers!
Starting a 30L fusion build and ready to get things going.
Tank will be sps dominate with a couple BTA's and a pair of premium Picasso Clowns

HAVE:
Tank- IM 30L fusion
Stand- IM Stand
Lighting- The JBJ unibody is temporary I had it laying around.
2 Aqua Gadget custom caddys.
Skimmer- I have a midsize ghost but am upgrading to a Aquamaxx HOB-1.
Reactor- Minimax midsize

NEED TO GET:
I have not decided on Lighting yet but have narrowed it down to:
2 radion xr15
or
2 AI hydra 26

I'm even willing to go overkill and get 2 xr30's or hydra 52's. I want the best spread, color and growth.
I want to mount lights via rail or tank mount. I do not want to hang my lights]

Flow- undecided either 2 MP10's or Gyre 130.
AutoAqua Smart ATO
APEX system

Any advise on things I need would be great Thanks!

Sweet build! I plan on getting the 30L or 25 lagoon in the future for an sps tank as well! I would say for your lighting situation that one radion xr30 should be plenty. I would imagine if you got 2, then you would have to run them at a pretty low setting. Also let me know how you like the aquamaxx skimmer!

Yeah that lagoon is looking pretty sweet for sure. Thanks for the input on the lights Im am really leaning towards 2 xr30's, your right I can turn them down. I will let you know on the HOB-1 I have heard its a skimming beast so will see.

Nice setup what does IM stand for? Been out of the game for awhile and I'm looking at creating a tiny beauty like this.

Also, does this tank come with an external bottom sump or its attachments the back?

Thanks dontavo27 I love the long shallow reef tanks. I hope the route you took went well.
I went with this, 40g vizio with trapezoid it's basically the same dims, just a bit taller. Wanted a sump under the tank to hide all the equipment. I'll post something on it later. I look fwd to future updates on your 30L, best of luck with your new tank.

It stands for Innovative Mexicans! Lol jk innovative marine. It's a beautiful tank, probably one of the better all in ones.
It has the filtration built into the back wall.

Thx, that's about the same tank I'm planning to build. A sump is nice but I have 2 Nanos that are thriving for the past 2 years with just 1-2x/month water changes. I know if I stock it lightly it's easy maintenance

Nice build. You would really like the gyre xf 130 for that tank. Maybe a mp10 on the back wall of the right side. Basically how I have my tank setup.

2 xr15s would be bomb.

Pricey little tank hahaha best of luck to you. Keep posting the progress.

What doser you looking at?

Thanks! BeanMachine I was thinking of going with the gyre 130 how do you like it. I was thinking 2 mp10's but a gyre and mp10 sound really good. Are the gyre's quiet and reliable so far for you.
I'm not sure what dosing setup I'm going with yet any experience with anything good?
I just ordered 2x- xr15w pros for the tank I should have them by Friday, now I need to decide on either RMS tank mounts or RMS rail mounts for the xr15's.

Nice setup! what lighting did you go with for

I haven't set it up yet, need sump, return pump, stain the stand, work out the plumbing. as for lighting I was thinking a T5 fixture and an LED strip for supplemental lighting, or 1 gen3 radion.
Sounds like some fun to me! I thing T5 would be the way to go with led strip. I don't think 1 gen3 radion would get you optimal spread on a 36" tank but it depends on what coral you plan on doing. You have some work ahead of you for sure I love starting new tanks!!!

i think he did custom work on some earlier fixtures with the T5 tubes hanging of the side, but that one looks a lot nicer. those fixtures are way out of my budget range so i'm not too familiar with them.

I have a gyre 130. Its cool and so far works well. I'd probably do a gyre and mp10 if i were you.
just for a different array of flow for your sps that you want.

I also have an mp40 on the opposite side of the gyre on my 4 ft tank.
butI still want more random flow.. Trying to decide what to add

appreciate the feed back and over much debate on a gyre 130 I ended up doing 2x mp10 QD so will see how it works out.
