Pre-Order Euroquatics E5 Retrofit T5 LED Lamps

Your T5 will never be a T5 again!

The E5 is designed to work in sync with your original T5HO fixtures. These unique products showcase features that create an eco-friendly, longer lasting aquarium lamp. This new spin on an old design makes T5s a product of the past. With its sleek design, the E5 is made to last over five times the life span of an average T5HO lamp while consuming about half of the power.

Do you guys have photos yet of the color for each besides the graphic? I am trying to decide between the Cool Daylight 15k or the Blue Pop 450 460nm.

Also, your color references for the Cool Daylight above are all different. First chart shows a darker blue, next examples are a much lighter blue almost white.

I saw these lights at RAP and talked to them for a bit. When you look at the light it looks exactly like a t5 bulb imo. Main factor being the power consumption and bulb life. If you had this light and a t5 next to each other you would not be able to tell the difference.

How are you guys planning to use these bulbs? I'd highly doubt they'll be noticeable if you have all your T5's on, but it may work well for actinic lighting to get that royal blue pop, or maybe an entire fixture dedicated with these tubes. But I'd be afraid that they'd get drowned out by the rest of the T5's. If anyone tries them, be sure to post about it!

Just like any other t5 lamps, just last close to 8 years and use about half the wattage....

We apologize for the confusion. We're getting more information as we go and will update the website accordingly. The Cool Daylight is a 15K bulb so it will be white with a blue tint. The darker blue is wrong.

This is how we would look at it.

Warm Daylight - 6500K for planted aquariums and refugiums.
Daylight - 10000K, white bulb comparable to an ATI AquaBlue Special Bulb.
Cool Daylight - 15000K, white with a blue tint, comparable to a Coral Plus Bulb.
Blue Pop - comparable to a Blue Plus bulb.

No sweat MD. I'm excited to try these. Keep us posted if you get any additional information. I'd like to see them lit up in a picture if possible.

not worth it to be the cool kid on the block...
How so? Its not about being the cool kid yo! If similar par and decent color, while saving energy and money on lamps for the next few years I think its a no brainer. I'll put the two lamps on the channel that runs two lamps, so I can monitor the par readings and record a drop in par if any.

:) No need to add the JK dude hahaha I'm just bored at work and wanted to discuss something reef related. I'll let you know on the PAR readings. I'm most likely getting two blue pop lamps and will compare with 2 blue plus lamps. Is anyone working today?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
