yeah that sucks.. i hope it doesn't make you want to quit the hobby... it's all of our nightmare... i had a scare once... and i was there when my brother's 180g mixed reef cracked too... it's a horrible experience...

is the floor uneven...? is there anything under carpet, like two layers of that sponge stuff...? is the stand warped...? does the tank have higher water level on one side than the other...?

all of that can crack a tank... honestly, doesn't look like tank failure... that is a stress crack... that corner had a lot of stress...

Hope everything works out. I have an acrylic tank for that reason but I too had a big leak from my overflow box. Good luck!

How much water leaked out of the tank?

Do you have fans set up for the spilled water on the carpet? Did anything leak through to the first floor?
