I use the aquaticlife mounting arm for mine and in my 30g nano 24x18x16, all my corals are happy. I have maxima clam in the sandbed slightly off centered and it's happy. I used to have acans middle and up and they were not happy with the amount of light they were getting. I now have Digi's up top and my acans on sandbed and all are happy.
Overall, I like this light over my old Kessil 350. For some reason, I just could not get the color I liked with the Kessil.

i grew sticks under my halo... i have the same dimensions as you... well sorta... 24x24 with 16" of water... i have it around 7" above the water line, and it lights up my rocks, and not my glass... i hardly get algae on the glass... love it... the controller is legit...

my moonlights turn on around, 10am... then at 2PM, my blue channel ramps up within an hour... at 3PM, my white channel starts ramping up within an hour... then the white channel starts ramping down around, 9PM, then at 10PM the blue channel ramps down... moonlights turn off around 2AM...

Thanks dude, i was getting frustrated with the maxspect razr's prompting me to buy this, hopefully i made the right decision. I dont have big money for the radeons. The other light I was looking at was the hydra 26

Peter Hall I like the color, i haven't put them up yet waiting for the arm to come in. But now i have a dilemma i have a chance to get the Radion xr30 gen 2 lights for a bit more but used. SO thinking i should return these and get the radions. What do you all think.

What kind of tank are you lighting? Dimensions? I haven't tried the Aquatic Life, but I have tried Radions and will say that the shimmer on the Aquatic Life will be more natural and uniform because the LEDs are clustered under one lens. You'll get a more pronounced disco effect with the Radion. As for color, I don't know. I only tried the G3 Pro and the color is alright. Don't remember the LEDs that the gen 2 is.

I say that if you like the look of the Halo, keep it.

So after using it for a couple of days, I dont really like the blues on the Halo they are very windex in color. The blues on the kessil are better IMO. So Halos are going back and my search for LED's continue. Maybe Sb reef or maybe radion or hydra's. The fight is between cheep stuff and good stuff continues. If i buy radions or hydras they can be used in future tanks and if i buy blackbox i might have to buy again when i upgrade tank in a year or so.

Don't waste your money on the SB light. Stick to a Radion or Hydra if you can afford it. They're the more proven of all the lights. The SB's use really crappy whites. I can't comment on the look of the Halo, but judging by the LEDs they chose, it's really heavy on the blue and lacking on the warmer colors.

Thanks I will keep that in mind, any thoughts on buying the Radion or hydra used i am wary on spending 300-500 on used, I assume they are usually ok cuz i see them alot for sale used.

The pic is at 100% blue and i believe 50% white, even with the blues turned down to like 60 to 70 percent the blue was weird. But thats just me.

I bought a Radion used and it was fine. But you will be spending 400+ unless you get the older generations. No way around that.

My friend is selling some Radions at a decent price, check it out: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2581536

all preference, aquaticlife is more of a natural blue. i think what you are looking for is that light that makes thing pop.
