I made a plant stand for my plumerias out of our old red wood fence. I plan to make two other planter boxes with the same material.

I thought gumbii would like it. I can't believe I'm posting this on a fish forum. I'm winding down the projects so I can get my tank started.

**The stand bottom is actually against the window...

gumbii what do you know about plumerias? I've been doing some research. My friend's mom gave me 25 collected around the Hawaiian Islands... reds, oranges, rainbows, golds, yellows, the works. I hope I don't kill them.

Mainly would you water once a week? I used the cactus with perlite mix. Used the root hormone on the base, and added some higher phosphorous fertilizer.

Is it possible for me to give them too much sun? I have lots of really sunny spots, just not many that get a little shade.

Lately the sun has been beating them up here in socal... They need more humidity... Anyways... Yeah, water one a week, full sun, feed them good ferts once every other week, or once a month using the time release crap... Are they already rooted...? If they are Cuttings, let them sit for a week before planting...

Also... There's a plumeria sale coming up at the Los Angeles arboretum... I don't know if I'm going to work out or not... But they are going to have some nice plants for sale... I'm also going to work the cactus show/sale next month too... Supposed to be the biggest one of the year...

I'm not home right now, I'll find a link when I get home... But there are some plumeria that are named, le and just plain nice... I have some I was gifted, but don't know what type of flower they have... But they aren't my thing... I grow orchids and epiphyllum mostly...

Nice thanks. Yeah they were all cuttings. They had been cut for a month or so maybe a little longer. They weren't shriveled or anything like that, but the bases were nice and dry. I used the powdered rooting hormone, and went to town. All them have some claws started, a couple already have inflos? but they haven't bloomed yet. I've only had them planted a few days.

I had some others from a different friend, had them for two months after they were cut. They were on a table and totally bloomed and everything not even planted.

I hear they love fish poopoo. Another reason to get your tank going so that you can dump skimmer cup in the pots.

And where online or store front would you recommend I can shop with him? Trying to get him out of the house more and keep his mind and body active. Thank you kind sir in advance.

He's into fruit trees...? Right now in East LA there's a place called mimosa nursery... They have jujube trees for 60 bucks... CHEEP...!!! I would get one but I have no more room... Online sucks to buy... Only ebay has deals... Get him some epiphyllum plants... I'm going through some of mine right now and might put them up for grabs on the forum... I have about 60 new different named ones since I joined the society.... I'm hoping to keep about 100 plants... Lol... You can also get him some hardy orchids... I dunno, it depends on his growing condition... And habits...
