Awesome photos! Makes me miss my Hawaii trip earlier this year. Are you going to tidepools or just out in the ocean? I would love to see more photos of inverts!

Ive been diving as well, its just hard to take close up pics with the gopro. I was actually out yesterday and saw what looked like acro crabs in an sps colony. Ive also seen linckia stars and a few other stuff... ill try and take more pics.
Not sure if I missed it but are you keeping all these catches in a temp tank? Any Flame wrasses? I would imagine it would be very difficult to catch them.

Oh yeah I never mentioned that I think. Im keeping a few nice fish in a 20 gallon rubbermaid and ima ship a few back before i get home. I only see Christmas wrasse. Flames are more deep water. Ive never even seen one out here. Same with flame and potters angels. Yellow tangs are only found in protected waters as well... all the cool stuff you have to scuba for.
I will be going to Maui in a month. I would love to know what spots to check out so I can get the most of my time there. My oldest son also loves sea life. I will be in Lahaina. Thanks!

My favorite snorkel spot is ahihi bay down in makena. Its the only place you can find yellow tangs. I dont really know many places up in Lahaina, but i know black rock is a good spot close by there
