Gauge should be after the pump and before the membrane. Even if you have that gauge placed correctly, it is a dry gauge and it will rattle itself to death inside of 10 minutes. Get a better (liquid-filled) gauge. Russ

Guys - flush kits are on the waste water side of the membrane. Your TDS Creep water is on the low pressure, or permeate side of the membrane. Russ

If your feedwater is 420, and your RO water is 27, that's a 94% rejection rate: 1 - (27/420)= 1 - 0.06= 0.94= 94% The factory spec rejection rates vary for membranes. Which membrane do you have? Russ

BRS uses Filmtec membranes for the most part. They are spec'ed at 50 PSI rather than 60 psi.

With proper prefiltration the presence of chloramines in the feedwater won't bother the membrane. RO membranes have a very high tolerance for chloramine - but, free chlorine is often present when there is chloramine in the water, and its the free chlorine, if not treated with proper prefilters...

The presence of the color-change feature really doesn't say anything about the capacity of the DI resin. Russ

Do you mean your RO water is 25 ppm? That's awfully high, if so. What is the TDS of your tap water? Russ

Replace your resin when the DI water TDS is higher than 1 ppm. Russ

The cost of operation of those little units is very high, and the capacity of the filters is low.

Your first filter is clogged, or your flow is too high.
