Overkill ? Yes. I could have done it with two lights but I got one of them for free. IMO one light will not cover 36 inches. unless you raised it very high or took the 90 degree lens is off.
After a long ordeal of a light coming in DOA . I ended up getting a free MR-120. so I decided to mount all 3 above the 40b. I know it's a little overkill but why not.
does anyone have any ideas on how I could mount my LEDs over my aquarium. I currently have a canopy that I'm willing to do away with. The problem is my tank sits in the corner well away from any wall. I want it to look as if it goes with the aquarium as sleek as possible.I'll have three Chinese...
I would just isolate the rock don't let it touch anything else. sponges are actually great filter feeders and they will absorb nutrients really well, if you have a refugium stick it there.
the lights are all set up now and these lights are a so much brighter. I'm doing 70% actinic 55% daylight. I kept one of the orbit Marine LEDs just for that dawn to dusk and moon lights. everything looks great. Thanks for the help.
I end up going with 2 MR120 LED Full Spectrum. I'm going to keep using the Currents just for supplemental lighting I really like the fade in fade out for dawn to dusk.they will be here tomorrow.
