Tesla solar prices are pretty hard to beat these days.. got a 10.8kw system with 2 powerwalls for $46k in October, before the 30% tax credit. Sized system at 227% usage.. Surprised SCE was cool with it. A friend's solar company wanted $68k for a comparable system. Nuts...

We use the ones from building an obsession.. have about 30 of them. The ones that fit into the coleman coolers - 16x11. They're not cheap but have saved so much time.

Change your flow restrictor to have less waste water, but expect to foul your membrane sooner. Or, buy an RO system designed to have less waste water with auto flush, recirc. Our spectrapure is 1:1 and has made probably over 10k gallons, still on the same membrane.

When you're picking one out, look at the belly. If it's pinched, move onto another one. That's usually the main thing we look for and have really good success. They're $70 for good size ones at the wholesale... $85 is a good deal at the LFS if you can get it, at least while the prices are...
