Well I use a GEO 618 Very well built easy to adjust, steady and no problems for 3 yrs now. I would recommend one to anyone. Colin

I think I would worry more about if the baggage compartment is pressurized and or heated. I'd hate to have exploded or frozen bags. Colin

Is the ballast magnetic or electronic? If its magnetic (these ballasts are pretty big and heavy and many of them make a slight buzzing noise) then it will run hot. Most of them do. If not then it shouldnt. If it worries you, you can put a small fan blowing on it to keep it cool but you dont need...
