Be careful of over skimming and over filtering. Filters and skimmers pull the tiny lparticles of food the corals eat out of the water colom pretty fast and depending on the coral they can die pretty quick. Lps sps zoas nems ans softies all have different food requirement as well as "nutrient"...

It will work fine. Pods do what they want anyway., some reefers are of the opinion slower flow is better for chato and nutrient export. if the chato grows there then it is fine

Yup. Feather dusters, i have a ton of different colored micro dusters, theyre neat. Filter feeders and good water cleaners. I have slightly larger ones in the sump, probably a half inch feathers.

Yea test kit is best. Where did you read a scientific article that copper throws off an amonia test. scientists use tests. nitrate and phosphates are in everything and so is arsenic. Cycling a tank properly takes weeks. You dont need to change water that often. Not to sound enen more rude...
